2012 PMA Impact Award
As Fresh Summit 2012 quickly approaches, mark your calendars for a big event that’s certainly easy on the eyes. It’s pageant season in the world of produce and floral marketing! And, no, we haven’t completely lost it. One of our favorite showcases of excellence, The PMA Impact Award, which recognizes bold new concepts in produce and floral packaging, could be considered our industry’s equivalent of a beauty pageant. But, we’re talking more Miss America (beauty AND brains) and less Toddlers & Tiaras (screaming tantrums) here. “Pageantry” aside, as marketers, we know and appreciate the value of this type of validation and exposure.
The nomination window closes this Friday, August 10th and we highly recommend that you bust out your metaphorical high heels and evening gowns and take advantage of this great way to get your products noticed! If we’ve piqued your interest, then check out the list of benefits below to be completely convinced.
- Targeted recognition (meaning not just your company name aimlessly floating around without any correlated value) among the industry, buyers, suppliers, competitors and employees. How often do we get a chance reach such a broad audience showcasing your products and, let’s face it, marketing smarts?
- Tremendous exposure at Fresh Summit – Winners will be showcased in a prime location at Fresh Summit and will be announced at the Breakfast General Session – that’s a sizeable and captive audience who will hear all about your packaging innovation.
- Free advertising and PR! Winners of the Impact Awards have received recognition in all the leading industry publications such as: The Perishable Pundit, Produce Business, The Packer, and Produce News. In addition, PMA does a good job at creating exposure for winners throughout its membership.
Points are awarded for excellence in Marketing, Sustainability, Consumer Convenience, Food Safety, Supply Chain Efficiency/Functionality and Swimsuit. Ha, just kidding about that last one. But seriously, you can join the ranks of recent winners including Ocean Mist Farms, Monterey Mushrooms, Naturipe Farms, Hollandia Produce, Apio & Clear Lam. Now that’s a nice looking lineup!
We look forward to seeing you on stage at Fresh Summit, so get those nominations in (CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS AND TO SUBMIT YOUR PACKAGING). Best of luck!
