Dallas Has It ALL – Dallas’ Bar Scene

As much as Dallasites like to eat, we’ve gotta have a drink or two to wash down all those decadent dishes.  Each of the following watering holes is as inviting as it is thirst-quenching and provides parched patrons with the “bar trifecta” – distinct atmosphere, friendly staff & clientele, and fantastic networking/drinking opportunities.

Adair’s – when folks visit The Big D, they’re probably looking for a genuine taste of Texas.  And while “Texas authenticity” has a wide range of interpretations these days, this saloon provides that wild, without being overly kitschy, west flavor that visitors need for a complete Dallas experience.

Nana at The Hilton Anatole – If you’ve got a mental picture of Adair’s in your noggin, think of the exact opposite and voila!….. Nana.  From the 27th floor of The Hilton Anatole, Nana’s bar serves up sophistication via specialty cocktails and gorgeous views of downtown.

The Katy Trail Ice House – Roll-up garage doors, games of “cornhole” (holy cow, while researching for this article, I discovered there’s actually an American Cornhole Association!), TVs for miles and cold beer.  Nope, not just another daydream – this Utopia is real and right off The Katy Trail so you can scoff at overachieving fitness models while making the ACA proud!

The Quarter – my personal favorite bar in Dallas will certainly help any United Fresh attendee suffering from New Orleans withdrawal.  With a Big Easy feel and Dallas drink prices (inexpensive, never cheap), The Quarter is just, well, fun.  The patio upstairs is springtime perfection.

Idle Rich – right down the street – some may say “stumbling distance” – from The Quarter is Uptown Dallas’ take on Dublin (not to be confused with Dublin, TX).  Continuing the theme of drinks on a patio, Idle Rich complements their cocktails with, in my very experienced opinion, the best bar menu in Dallas.

The Bar at Bolsa – Bolsa boasts “the best cocktails in the city” on their homepage, and I second that emotion.  The mixologist should be named an honorary member of the fresh produce industry since he features so many of our products in so many of his creations.  Go have a Killin’ Thyme – seriously, make thyme.

We look forward to darkening the doorstep of at least one of these places with our friends during United Fresh.  Cheers!
